Busy life means digital layouts...

Thought I'd reach out to my long time blogger friends and share that I fell off the paper scrapping wagon and tried this morning digital layouts through the Project Life App.
So these 3 took me about 30 minutes, on my phone in the comfort of my Sunday bed when I couldn't sleep.  I seriously feel like I'm cheating.  For those that don't know about the App... well I'm glad I shared.  I just did 3 and it costs $1.99 each to have prined and I will receive them in the mail in about a week.  Not a bad gig.

I am working full time again, have busy kids... so my weekends are for catching up on life to do's along with throwing in fun times with our family.  I am also starting to take care of myself a little better.  Exercise when the opportunity presents itself.
I am not giving up paper scrapping.  This was my kick me in the behind to get back at it.
If anything it's nice to have options and just maybe I will help any of you that may find yourself in a rut.  I fully believe in inspiring anyone I can.
My word or motto for 2018... "Right now."
Stop talking about things and just do them.

Happy weekend all!  I hope you are thinking of yourself as number 1.  Happy you means happy everyone.

Happy Easter!  In honor of the day... my kids who are WAY older than this photo... actually colored eggs yesterday.  So glad they still want to be "Kids."  This is from 7 years ago and I can't believe how the time has flown.  Life if good and cherish these YOUNG moments!!

Go over to LASTING MEMORIES AND PLAY ALONG...

LM 340- Use Bunnies, Chicks or Eggs on your layouts!!

Also excuse the quality... didn't have my good camera back then.

Happy Easter and I hope to get back to my Scrapbooking hobby soon!!

GOLF...

Another summer family adventure under our belt... which means another layout added to our memories.  :)
Well here we go with Sunday and the start of a new challenge over at Lasting Memories.
In sticking with the monthly theme of "Adult Coloring Trend..."  This week's challenge has you actually doing a little bit of coloring on your layouts.
LM#306 - Add an image that you
have colored or color your background paper.
Here's mine...

I chose to color a digital image of the golf bag with the green in the background.  I used my Stampin' Up colored pencils and then used SU blender pens to make it look a bit smoother.
This was our first time golfing 9 holes as a family.  Although daughter just drove the cart and drove her brother nutso.  First time for me attempting 9 holes and actually hitting a ball somewhere other than a driving range.  The boys in my life said I did ok.  :)  I'll take it.

I had a few challenges that also inspired me to scrap this layout...

STICK IT DOWN August Single sketch - inspired me with my placement.

My Photo areas are a tad bigger for I wanted to include more pictures.

Challenge YOUrself #32 - Using the "Art" for inspiration and including YOU in the photo

The colors, trees, the idea of "Being together", the art of coloring all inspired me with their challenge.

I used Green, Turquoise, Journaling, Title and 2 cardstock (turquoise and red)

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peak.  Now go get scrapping.  :)

EXPLORER FALLS... Blog Hop and some fun challenges to check out...

If you have arrived here from Lauren's blog, you are at the right place.

Welcome to Lasting Memories 300th Challenge blog hop! Several of our design team members are playing along and offering up some blog candy, so be sure to stop by each of their blogs.

For our 300th challenge... you are to use anything from the photo/game "MARBLES" as your inspiration for your layout.

Here is my layout...
I used the bright colors and circles represented from the marbles as my inspiration.
Summer has started in our house.  We are still busy with some upcoming baseball tournaments, but was able to get out for an adventure recently to check out great nature practically in our back yard.  Love the outdoors, and anything to rack up those steps on my Fitbit is a for sure plus!!

A few challenges that gave me the GO to create this layout that I am entering are...

CHALLENGE YOUrself 30 - Use Geometrical shapes & Patterns and include YOU in photo.

COLOUR Q 348 - Night of navy, Only Orange, Certainly Celery, Cool Carribean + White

JUST US GIRLS #350 - It's WORD week... "SUMMER" word theme

I am also offering up this small RAK.
Just leave a comment on this post, so I know you were here and you are entered.  Following my blog too would be a bonus, but not necessary for the prize.  :)
I will draw a winner on Sunday 7/10!!

Thanks so much for hopping along with us! Next up on the hop is super talented LORI
Here is the order of the blog hop in case you get lost along the way:

We Love Grammy...

Yay!!  I've gotten out of my slump.  I scrapped!  And let me tell you how good it feels.  I was inspired to create this layout as a gift for my Mom for Mother's Day.  I will be duplicating this for my stash... since it captures perfectly where our kids are at these days with their number one focus of fun besides their school grades, other activities etc...  Life is good and busy and perfect.
So with that said... the newest challenge at Lasting Memories is all about Vintage!
LM 292 - Vintage, Sepia, Black and White, Old or New photos

Here is what I did... Used current photos and turned them Black and White...
Whether you have actual OLD photos, Black and White photos, Sepia Photos or Current Photos that you want to scrap...  Well this is the challenge for you.  Anything to do with Vintage.  Photos, Paper... whatever.
I was also inspired by the sketch from SKETCH n' SCRAP... Flashback Friday challenge...
You have until May 31st to join on the above challenge with the sketch.

You have until May 27th to join in on all the Lasting Memories challenges.  Come check us out!!

Life is an Adventure...

Well yes it is!!  Have been busy on the home front lately... so I rewarded myself by getting to my scrap desk today.  :)  It's also very rainy here... and I am missing the sunshine, the warmth and simply hanging with my family.  So I am reliving one of our favorite adventures... HIKING.

Here is a layout that I did about our hike to Cherry Creek Falls this past August.  It was muggy hot.  Not a very well marked trail... but once we found the prize at the end, we were happy.  Love finding and seeing things after a bout of exercise.  Advantages all around.

I'm up on the blog over at Sketches
in Thyme tomorrow (10/14) showcasing this great sketch from Shawn Lahr.
You have until the end of the month to play along.  :)

I am also showcasing a challenge from Lasting Memories LM 262 happening now until October 30th using the theme...  "Summer time Fun and use Paper Flowers."
Well it's our summer adventure and my sunshine is a "flower" along with an embellishment in the bottom right corner.
And then... to inspire me even further... I am joining a challenge involving 4 blogs!!  I was only able to follow 3 of the challenges... but so excited I managed.
Head on over to join...

I used photos with ME in them.  :)
